Welcome to Kuusamon Portti
Hotelli Kuusamon Portti, founded in 1992, is located on the pictoresque shore of Lake Iijärvi. In September 2021, the company underwent a generational change and a young entrepreneur has taken over the wonderful Hotel & Restaurant property.
Our restaurant
The restaurant has room for 60 people with a view of the lake, and there are 20 additional seats on the terrace in summer. The restaurant has serving rights. The restaurant offers traditional Nordic dishes as well as modern Asian dishes. The food emphasizes local food and local products, we strive to get our raw materials as close as possible.
Great venue for accommodation and events
There are 8 hotel rooms and 2 larger log cabins. A total of accommodation capacity is available for 50 people if needed.
There is an event pavilion for 200 people on Järvenranta where weddings, family parties, parties and other events can be organized.

In our area there is also a traditional Finnish smoke sauna and a hut where we also organize experiential dinners.
Activities
In the winter, you can enjoy traditional skiing on our homemade slopes, catch local fish from Lake Iijärvi, rent snowshoes and admire the northern lights directly from the balcony of your hotel room.

In the summer, it is easy to go to great national parks from our hotel, e.g. Hossa, Riisitunturi and Oulanka. On site you can fish, rent trolling boats, dinghies and canoes.
